April 2008
Saturday 19th Belfast Parks Bowling greens open. Open times are Monday to Saturday 11am to 9pm from April to September 2008. Phone 90270611 for details
May 2008
Saturday 10th - Friends of Botanic Plant Sale at the Palm House, Botanic Gardens, 10am to 1pm. Entrance £2-00 (includes coffee). To raise funds for the Tropical Ravine roof.
June 2008
Saturday 14th - 1,000 mile walk. Botanic Gardens and 11 other Belfast Parks, 2-4pm. Target is to get 1000 people to each walk a mile. call 9066 2259 for details.
Saturday 22nd - Music in the park. 3-4pm Black Mountain with traditional/folk music in Botanic Gardens
July 2008
Wednesday 16th - Opera in the Park, 5.30pm-10.30pm. Marriage of Figaro. Gates open 5pm. Admission free.
Sunday 27th - Music in the Park. 3-4pm Lord Londonderry's Own CLB Flute Band, Botanic Gardens
August 2008
Wednesday 6th - Music in the Park. 7.30pm-8.30pm 1st Old Boys Silver Band, Botanic Gardens
Sunday 24th - Belfast Mela 2008 at Botanic Gardens 12noon to 6pm. A great family day out
September 2008
Saturday 20 and Sunday 21st Garden Gourmet 12.30pm-6pm. A feast of flowers, food, fun and entertainment in Botanic Gardens. Adults £3, senior £2, accompanied children free.
October 2008
Thursday 2nd to Sunday 5th - Enchanted evenings at Botanic Gardens. magical family evening of entertainment 7.340pm to 10pm.
24th-25th Pumpkin Jack at Botanic Gardens. 6.30pm-9.pm, last admission 8.30pm. An Autumn festival of seasonal performance, display and the many faces of the pumpkin.
